The new state administration led by chief minister Suvendu Adhikari has removed the elaborate security arrangements outside Abhishek’s residence, including perimeter barricades, smart guardrail systems, and a dedicated bomb disposal squad post. These measures had restricted public access to the neighbourhood for years, claimed the new BJP government.
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation recently issued notices to 17 properties, some allegedly associated with Abhishek, regarding alleged building violations.
