Varanasi: A 38-year-old woman was found with her throat slit inside her home under the Bardah police station limits of Azamgarh on Thursday afternoon, with police suspecting murder.The victim, Akbari, was found lying in a pool of blood by her two school-going sons when they returned home around 1 pm. On being alerted, police, forensic experts and a dog squad rushed to the spot, while an investigation has been launched to trace the accused.Akbari’s husband, Tahir, works in a loom unit in Mumbai to support the family. The couple has three sons and one daughter. Their daughter is married, while the elder son lives with his father in Mumbai.Villagers told police that Akbari had been seen in the morning before her children left for school. Later, when the children returned, they found her dead inside the house.Lalganj circle officer Bhupesh Kumar Pandey said the case appears to be a murder. The exact cause will be confirmed after the postmortem report. Police are investigating the case from all angles, he added.
