T’puram: Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM), the nodal agency for Aadhaar-related services in the state, has issued a public advisory detailing the free and subsidised Aadhaar services currently available to residents through Unique Identification Authority of India.According to the advisory, Aadhaar holders can add or update their email ID free of cost through the Aadhaar app until Dec 31, provided their Aadhaar is already linked to an active mobile number.Linking an email ID with Aadhaar enables users to receive email notifications each time authentication is carried out, allowing them to track when and where their Aadhaar details are being used.Those with an active mobile number linked to Aadhaar can also update their mobile number and make address corrections by submitting supporting documents through the Aadhaar app for a fee of Rs 75.IT Mission also said Aadhaar document updates can be carried out free of cost through UIDAI’s MyAadhaar portal until June 14, 2027, for users whose Aadhaar is linked to an active mobile number. The service is available through the ‘Document Update’ option on MyAadhaar portal. The same service costs Rs 75 if availed at an Aadhaar enrolment centre.The advisory further stated that new Aadhaar enrolments for children aged up to five years, as well as enrolments after that age, are provided free of charge. Mandatory biometric updates at the ages of five and 15 are also free if completed between the ages of five and 17.Residents can access Aadhaar services, including fresh enrolment, biometric updates, and changes to mobile numbers or email IDs, through all Akshaya centres and other authorised Aadhaar enrolment centres across Kerala.For grievance redressal and assistance, KSITM asked citizens to contact its Aadhaar helpdesk or the toll-free Citizen Call Centre.
