New Delhi: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal will lead a march to PM Narendra Modi’s residence Tuesday against “forceful imposition” of E20 petrol and hand over a petition signed by around 2.5 lakh people, seeking a meeting with PM over problems with the ethanol-blended fuel.In a news conference, Kejriwal alleged that “PM Modi has buckled under pressure from US president Donald Trump” and there was a “hidden agenda” behind the imposition of E20 without offering any justification. “Donald Trump wants US’ ethanol to be forcibly imported into India. According to one estimate, PM will buy $20 billion worth of ethanol from Donald Trump over the next five years, which will be imposed on the people of our country,” Kejriwal claimed.An online campaign launched recently by AAP reportedly was signed “within a few days by 2,33,238 people”. The march will start from the AAP headquarters at 12pm with 100 people. “We hope that Prime Minister will meet us and listen to our concerns. We want to discuss why ethanol is harmful and how people are suffering,” Kejriwal said.Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra said, “When police will stop him from entering PM’s residence, he will again play the victim card. Kejriwal should stop misleading the public and present 100 vehicles, each supported by a certificate from an automobile engineer stating that the vehicle was damaged because of ethanol.”
