Srinagar, Aug 26: The player bidding process for the second season of Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2026 was completed with around 200 footballers competing for places across six franchise teams.

The bidding ceremony, powered by Athwas Retail and Athwas Hyundai, saw the participating franchises compete for players as they finalised their squads for the upcoming season.

The six teams taking part in Season 2 are United Elegant FC, Sanctorum United, Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC, Swift Strikers Rainawari FC, Athwas India XI FC and New JK United FC.

With the bidding process now over, all six franchises have completed their squads and are set to begin preparations for the tournament.

The event brought together franchise owners, team officials, coaches, players, league organisers and other stakeholders. Organisers said the bidding process offered local footballers an opportunity to earn a place in a competitive franchise-based league.

The second season will be played at the TRC Ground in Srinagar, with the six teams competing for the Kashmir Super League title.

The league has received support from Events Emporio, Nivia, NITIans Career Institute, Labaika Hajj & Umrah, Amul and J&K Sports Council.
