BENGALURU: State Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Saturday announced that the IAS officer from the state, who was believed to have been incommunicado for the past few days, had established communication with the government and that everything was fine. The officer had served as the KPSC Controller of Examinations until March this year and had overseen vigilance operations during the veterinary officer recruitment examinations held earlier. His alleged disappearance had drawn significant public attention as it came amid recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids at 21 locations targeting KPSC officials and members over money laundering allegations linked to the examination process.Further, the Karnataka Cabinet recently advised the governor to suspend KPSC chairman Shivashankarappa S Sahukar in connection with separate corruption charges.Addressing the media, Kharge stated, He had hurriedly left Bengaluru and flew to his native following a family-related emergency. Since his mobile phone was not reachable, confusion about his absence arose. Everything is fine with him,” Kharge said.Earlier, Kharge had said, “We received this information two days ago. But there is no formal complaint from his family, relatives or anybody else so far. He has been incommunicado and is not available for contact. We will see what needs to be done. He was last seen at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). We have got a few clues and are still investigating.”
