The state cabinet Thursday has approved a centre of excellence for AI in biotechnology at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology in Electronics City, with an outlay of Rs 20 crore over four years, in partnership with Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms.“Karnataka has consistently been at the forefront of technological innovation,” IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge said. The cabinet also approved the transfer of a 51% stake in the Karnataka Technology & Innovation Museum Foundation to the Unboxing BLR Foundation. A Technology & Innovation Museum will be built at NGEF, Baiyappanahalli, on a PPP model.
