Kapodra police have booked the woman for extortion and criminal intimidation.According to the FIR, the accused went to the victim’s school for a job interview a year ago. The school director rejected her at the time but she got the victim’s phone number. She pleaded for a job, saying her husband’s kidneys had failed and he was not keeping well. The victim met her and offered her a job in his school on probation. After 10 days, the school director told the trustee her work was not up to the mark and she told not to come to work. The accused allegedly kept calling and messaging the victim. She told him she needed Rs 15,000 for her husband’s medicine and that her son was in Class 12 science, for which she needed money. The victim gave her money for four or five months via GPay. The accused then allegedly demanded a physical relationship, which the victim refused. She allegedly began harassing him by calling him at night. When he checked her credentials, he learned that she had harassed many men in the past after entering relationships with them. When the victim blocked her number, she started calling from other numbers. One day, she sent him a message showing a pregnancy test, claiming he had impregnated her. She demanded Rs 35,000, which the victim refused as he had not had a relationship with her. She threatened to malign his reputation by circulating a certain message, and the victim ended up transferring money to her. As she continued to harass him and circulated an audio recording of their conversation, the victim finally filed a police complaint.
