Times News NetworkKanpur: Ekta Singh’s unbeaten knock of 65 runs and Siddhi Mishra’s three wicket haul empowered Kanpur (Red) beat Cricket Association of Lucknow by 44 runs in the final and won Dr Gaur Hari Singhania memorial cash prize money state women cricket championship for Spark Cup on Tuesday.Kanpur Red, deciding to bat first, posted a total of 4 for 163 runs in 25 overs. Besides Ekta Singh, Babita Yadav and Nisha Verma too contributed 48 and 23 runs respectively. In reply Lucknow girls could collect 119 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 25 oversAyushi Srivastava and Arzoo Singh were the main scorers who chipped 26 and 34 not out runs respectively. Siddhi Mishra of Kanpur claimed 3 wickets for 17 runs.After the final, chief guest Sanjay Kapoor KCA chairman and chairman of governing council-UP T-20 league presented a glittering trophy and a cash prize of Rs 21,000 to the winning team. Special guest Sunil Josan, president of Agra Cricket Association, presented a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 15,000 to runner Lucknow team.Babita Yadav, Siddhi Mishra and Ekta Singh were declared as the best batswomen, bowler and player of the tournament. Former Ranji trophy player Kapil Pandey gave away the player of the final award to Siddhi Mishra. KCA officials and former cricketers of the city were present on this occasion.
