Shimla: Himachal Pradesh education minister Rohit Thakur has ordered an immediate review and strengthening of security arrangements in all schools across the state following the recent killing of a mid-day meal worker in Kangra district.The minister on Friday expressed grief over the brutal murder of Salochana Devi at a primary school in gram panchayat Chanaur in Dehra sub-division of Kangra district. Describing the incident as deeply unfortunate and distressing, Thakur said educational institutions must remain the safest spaces for students, teachers, mid-day meal workers, and support staff.The minister directed education department officials to assess existing safety measures and implement stricter protocols to prevent such incidents in future.
