Jaisalmer: Jodhpur Division of North Western Railway (NWR) said Thursday that the Jodhpur-Jaisalmer track upgrade had cleared a 121 km/h high-speed test. An OMS train operated at that speed on the track, where a speed restriction of 100 km/h was previously in place, divisional railway manager Anurag Tripathi said.OMS (Oscillation Monitoring System) technology is used by Indian Railways to check track quality by measuring vibrations and jolts in a moving train, enabling identification of weak spots and timely repairs.Tripathi said that during the test, no peak exceeding 0.2 G was recorded, which he said indicated high-track quality and safe operations.TNN
