Kanpur: Right-arm bowler Harsh’s fine hat-trick went in vain as DKG Entertainment XI drubbed Solovair UK XI by 67 runs in a JNT U-12 pool league match played at Kanpur South B Ground on Sunday.Electing to bat first, DKG Entertainment XI posted 147 runs in 23.2 overs. They were 142 for 6 after 21 overs and, when it appeared they might push their total to 160 in the remaining three overs, Harsh caused significant damage by claiming three wickets off the first three balls, registering the tournament’s first hat-trick.However, DKG bowlers struck back and reduced Solovair UK XI to 46 for 7 in the 15th over. At that stage, a recovery appeared impossible, and Solovair UK XI’s innings folded for a mere 80 runs. Balram Singh was the top scorer with 20 runs. As many as eight Solovair batsmen failed to reach double figures.
