Jamshedpur: The JMM on Thursday staged a protest against the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) over the alleged theft of offerings at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. An impressive rally was taken out from Sakchi Aam Bagan to the office of the deputy commissioner (DC), where protesters staged a demonstration and submitted a memorandum to DC Rajiv Ranjan addressed to President Droupadi Murmu. The protesters demanded that the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case be investigated under the supervision of a Supreme Court judge.“Without the blessings of the top leadership of the BJP and the RSS, offerings worth crores of rupees could not have been stolen in such a systematic manner,” alleged former JMM Jamshedpur president Baban Rai.JMM leaders said Ayodhya is governed by a “double-engine” govt and a fair probe was impossible without judicial supervision. They alleged that merely removing or expelling Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust functionaries Sampat Rai and Gopal Yadav would not ensure transparency.“Until FIRs are lodged against Sampat Rai and Anil Mishra and they are sent to jail, our agitation will continue in a phased manner,” Rai said. The protesters demanded a thorough probe into all individuals allegedly involved. Participants dressed as Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lord Lakshman and members of the Vanar Sena drew attention.
