Jaipur: The enforcement branch of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Monday conducted an anti-encroachment drive at multiple locations across the city.Officials said the drive was carried out at Chomu Pulia near Dehar Ke Balaji, Crossing No. 7 near Mahipal Hospital on Sikar Road, Vidyadhar Nagar, the bus stand near Niwaru Road Pulia, Sanjay Nagar, Sanganer Market, Kagzi Masjid, and Jyoti Nagar II.According to the officials, the drive focused on removing temporary encroachments from both sides of roads in these areas to ease movement and prevent repeated violations.“During this operation, we seized four canter trucks of good, and slapped a fine of around Rs 24,000,” said a JMC official.Enforcement personnel also counselled people on-site and issued verbal warnings. Officials said that repeated violations would invite heavy fines and stricter punitive action against encroachers under municipal rules.
