Srinagar, Feb 25: The Jammu & Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association on Wednesday expressed gratitude to Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister holding the charge of Public Works Department, and to Anil Kumar Singh, Financial Commissioner/Additional Chief Secretary, for the recent Government Order placing 13 In-charge Executive Engineers as In-charge Superintending Engineers and 25 In-charge Assistant Executive Engineers as In-charge Executive Engineers.
This development has brought renewed confidence within the engineering fraternity. At a time when infrastructure development in Jammu & Kashmir demands strong technical stewardship and seamless coordination, the placement of experienced officers into higher responsibilities ensures continuity, stability, and improved administrative efficiency.
These officers have been discharging their duties with dedication and competence; formal recognition of their roles not only validates their service but also strengthens the structural hierarchy essential for the effective functioning of various departments across J&K.
JKCEGA hopes that other service matters, including the clearance of pending regularisation cases, In-Charge AEE & AE placements and the implementation of Assured Career Progression for engineers, will also receive due consideration in due course. Addressing these aspects will further strengthen administrative stability and ensure long-term motivation within the cadre.
The JKCEGA said the engineering community stands motivated and committed to delivering excellence in public infrastructure and contributing wholeheartedly to the continued development of Jammu & Kashmir.
