Srinagar, Mar 17: The J&K Ball Badminton Association, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, will organise the J&K UT-Level Ball Badminton Championship for boys and girls from March 26 to 28, 2026 at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar.
Sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, the three-day tournament aims to promote the sport in the region and provide young athletes a platform to showcase their talent.
The matches will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the Ball Badminton Federation of India (BBFI) to ensure fair play and competitive standards.
All affiliated district units, clubs, schools, colleges and institutions have been invited to participate. Interested players must submit their entries by March 25, 2026 via WhatsApp or SMS at 9682365877. Participants are required to bring a photocopy of their Aadhaar card and two passport-size photographs. No on-the-spot entries will be accepted.
The draw for the matches will be held on March 26 at 11:00 AM at the venue.
The championship will also serve as a selection platform for the upcoming National Ball Badminton Championships, offering top performers an opportunity to represent Jammu & Kashmir at the national level.
Officials from the J&K Ball Badminton Association and the J&K Sports Council will be present to oversee the event and encourage young talent. Sports enthusiasts and the general public have been invited to attend and support the participants.
