Srinagar, Oct 5: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunderstorms and gusty winds at scattered to many places from October 6 to 10, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar said on Monday.
According to the latest weather forecast, the Union Territory is expected to remain generally dry on October 5. However, weather conditions are likely to change from October 6, with light precipitation expected at several places during the next five days.
The Meteorological Centre has forecast partly cloudy weather from October 11 to 15, with no major widespread wet spell indicated during this period.

Meanwhile, the weather department has issued an advisory for farmers, urging them to ensure the safe storage of harvested apples and paddy during the October 6–10 period in view of the possibility of rain and gusty winds.
