Gurgaon: A store manager at a jewellery shop on Golf Course Road allegedly fled with Rs 1.28 lakh and 20 gold rings from a jewellery store on Golf Course Road.The theft took place at House of Ring, where the accused, Vishal Yadav, was employed as a store manager. Complainant Sumit Garg alleged that the employee absconded with the stolen cash and jewellery and sought strict legal action along with recovery of the valuables.CCTV footage from the shop allegedly captured the accused pocketing cash. A detailed check of the store later revealed that Rs 1.28 lakh in cash and 20 gold rings were missing.Police have registered an FIR against the suspect under Section 306 (theft by a clerk or servant of property in possession of their employer) of BNS at DLF Phase 1 police station.In a separate incident, Mandeep Kumar, a legal executive with SG EncoN (Reliance Jio), lodged a complaint pertaining to theft of a 1.74 KW SMPS unit from a telecom tower located at Nathupur village in DLF Phase 3.According to the complaint, the theft came to light on March 25 after a site alarm was triggered. Technician Vivek Anand reached the location and found the equipment missing. The company staff attempted to trace the stolen unit but were unsuccessful, following which the matter was revealed to police, following which a case was registered at DLF Phase 3 police station.Police said both matters are under investigation. Cases have been registered under relevant provisions of BNS and teams have been deployed to trace the accused in the jewellery theft and identify those involved in the telecom equipment theft.
