Jaipur: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has announced plans to develop a rose garden, a modern nursery and a state-of-the-art sports complex at Jawahar Circle, with tenders already floated for the project.JDA commissioner Siddharth Mahajan said a 4,000sqm rose garden will be developed with around 4,000 rose plants, including 3,000 grafted multi-coloured varieties and 1,000 native Ganganagar roses. A modern nursery spanning another 4,000sqm will house around 3,000 plants of 32 species, comprising 2,000 ornamental plants and 1,000 fruit trees.The authority will also develop a modern sports complex at Jawahar Circle with facilities for multiple sporting activities. The complex is expected to provide improved infrastructure for aspiring athletes while offering residents better fitness and recreational amenities.Mahajan said the projects are aimed at increasing Jaipur’s green cover, promoting biodiversity and improving public spaces. He added that the rose garden and nursery would strengthen environmental conservation efforts while enhancing the city’s aesthetic appeal and tourism potential.
