Ranchi: Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) on Friday started the online admission process for MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses in govt and private institutions across the state.Candidates who have qualified in NEET (UG)-2026 can submit online applications for inclusion in the state merit list, on the basis of which admissions will be conducted against state quota seats.According to a communiqué issued by the board, candidates can apply for inclusion in the first-round merit list from Aug 7 to 11. They will be allowed to edit their applications on Aug 11. The provisional state merit list will be published on Aug 12.Registration and choice-filling for the first round of online counselling will be open from Aug 13 to 19. Seat allotment letters can be downloaded from Aug 22 to 28. Document verification and admission at the allotted institutions will be conducted from Aug 23 to 28.The admission process will comprise three regular counselling rounds and a stray vacancy round, extending until Oct. Fresh applications for the second round will be accepted from Aug 25 to 27, and the merit list will be released on Aug 30. Document verification and admission for candidates allotted seats in the second round will take place from Sept 9 to 14.For the third round, fresh applications can be submitted on Sept 11 and 12. The merit list will be published on Sept 15, while the admission process under this round will conclude on Oct 1.Fresh registrations for the stray vacancy round will be accepted on Sept 28 and 29. The final round of admissions is scheduled to conclude on Oct 10.JCECEB has advised candidates to enter as many course and college preferences as possible to improve their chances of securing a seat.
