At the stroke of a pen, Jantar Mantar suddenly disappeared, as if by magic, as an officially designated site for demonstrations. That wasn’t a Sorcar show, but a Sarkar stage. While Sorcar’s Indrajal mesmerised international audiences, Sarkar’s eleventh-hour move bewitched cockroaches so much that they kept popping out all too often to explore the arrangements.

Despite the bandobast, roach hunters are still not sure whether they have properly sealed the crevices and fissures. Since the show has just begun, only time will tell who laughs last and laughs best. It’s scientifically proven that cockroaches do not create holes or tunnels on their own. Rather, they excel at exploiting pre-existing cracks and gaps. In such a scenario, roaches cannot be blamed for using the structural openings to mark their striking presence. It’s the duty of the Sarkar Raj to take care of the chinks, and if they can’t, they will have to face consequences.

These novel cockroaches possess a distinctive feature – they emerge during broad daylight after announcing their arrival, despite being aware of Sarkar’s magical powers.
If a packed train at Bardhaman Junction, Victoria Memorial and Taj Mahal disappeared under Sorcar’s magic spell, protest sites keep vanishing under Sarkar’s thaumaturgy. Does anyone remember that before Jantar Mantar, Boat Club lawns near India Gate were a popular location for agitations for decades? That became invisible after Sarkar employed its magic wand. But protests continued; they didn’t fade away.
