Jamshedpur: Two young men were killed and another injured after their motorcycle collided with a truck on the Jamshedpur-Ranchi highway in Seraikela in the early hours of Sunday.The deceased have been identified as Aman Kumar, 23, and Vikas Rajak, 22, both residents of Baridih Bajrang Chowk.They were travelling to the Dewri temple in Ranchi along with their friend, Captain Sharma, 24, a resident of Mango.Following the accident, locals alerted the Chandil police, who rushed to the spot and took the injured to MGM Hospital.Aman and Vikas died on the way to the hospital, while Sharma is currently undergoing treatment.“It was a head-on collision, and the stretch where the accident occurred is a single-lane road. The exact cause of the accident is under investigation,” said Chandil police station officer in-charge Dilson Birua.The truck driver fled the scene after the incident, police said.The bodies have been handed over to the families after post-mortem.
