Jammu, Oct 26: The Jammu Railway Division has decided to re-engage retired railway employees in its Accounts Department to address staff shortages and strengthen financial management.
The division will fill three posts of Senior Section Officer (Accounts) in Pay Level 8 or 9, in accordance with Railway Board guidelines.
The move follows the re-engagement of around 25 retired employees in the Commercial and Operating departments, which the railway administration said had prompted the expansion of the initiative to the Accounts Department.
Eligible applicants must have retired from the Senior Section Officer (Accounts) cadre and should not be older than 64 years and six months on the last date of application. The engagement will remain valid only until the age of 65.
Candidates must have secured at least a ‘Good’ grading in their Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) for the last five years. Preference will be given to applicants who retired from the relevant pay level.
No written examination will be conducted. A nominated committee will assess candidates on the basis of their APAR gradings, work experience, interview and vigilance and disciplinary clearance. Medical fitness certification by the Railway Medical Authority will be mandatory before final selection.
Interested and eligible candidates can visit the office of the Senior Divisional Finance Manager, Jammu Division, for detailed information and application-related formalities.
