Jaipur: In-form Jaipur golfer Prakhar Asawa continued his brilliant display but slipped to tied eighth at the end of the third day in the second edition of the Rs 1 crore Kolar Open 2026 at the Zion Hills Golf County near Bengaluru on Thursday.On the penultimate day, very strong cross winds which kept changing direction tested the golfers overall abilities to the hilt. Prakhar, a member of the Rambagh Golf Club, displayed excellent golfing ability and acumen to play consistent rounds of par and dropped two places from Day 2 to finish tied 8th at end of Day 3 with 3 birdies, 14 pars and 3 bogeys amidst testing conditions and very stiff competition.An 18-hole championship course in Kolar, Karnataka, designed by architect Ronald Fream, set amid expansive granite shelves, rusty boulders and abundant lakes interwoven with rolling greens.It plays to over 7,300 yards Zion Hills Golf County’s championship layout with its sweeping elevation changes, granite-strewn fairways, water hazards and shifting heavy cross winds is widely regarded as one of the most demanding tests in Indian golf, especially holes No. 6, 7, 8 & 9 with water hazards, narrow landing area and heavy rough making Prakhar’s performance here all the more noteworthy.
