Surat: A new team of office-bearers was selected by the Federation of Surat Textile Traders Association (FOSTTA) on Thursday, ushering in a new administrative term for one of the city’s most influential textile trade bodies.The appointments were finalised during a board meeting held at the FOSTTA board room following the recent election of board members.Hansraj Jain has been elected president of FOSTTA, while Dinesh Katariya will serve as general secretary. Niraj Agarwall has been appointed treasurer and Girish Mittal organisation secretary. The association said office-bearers for other committees will be announced in the coming days.The selection of the new leadership marks the completion of the first phase of FOSTTA’s transition process after the board elections. Jain succeeds outgoing president Kailash Hakim, who led the association for the past three years and is credited with introducing several reforms during his tenure.FOSTTA represents around 50,000 textile traders and is considered one of the most influential organisations in Surat’s textile sector.
