Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at a polling station in Sangareddy after TPCC working president and former MLA Jagga Reddy alleged that the police manhandled a Congress worker.The incident took place in the 34th Ward of the Sangareddy municipality. He alleged that the police ignored a complaint lodged by a Congress worker regarding bogus voting and pushed him aside by grabbing him by the collar. “I have not entered a polling booth in 26 years. I came here because a Congress worker was manhandled, and the police are supporting rigging of votes by another party,” he alleged in a video that was widely circulated on social media.

He allegedly tried to enter a booth and stop the voting process, demanding the suspension of the CI. “There was an attempt to win with fake votes,” he said, and refused to leave the premises, demanding that polling be cancelled. Meanwhile, the Sangareddy police said that they ordered a preliminary inquiry into the incident and that a case will be booked after going through the report.
