Cemindia Projects Ltd, said its 49%-owned joint venture ITD ITD Cem has been awarded ₹212.54 crore by an arbitral tribunal in a contractual dispute with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC).
The three-member arbitration tribunal published the award on August 1, 2026, the company said in a regulatory filing on Sunday.
The dispute relates to a contract entered into by the joint venture with DMRC on January 14, 2013. The claims and counter-claims between the parties were subsequently referred to arbitration.
The claims pertained to additional costs arising from prolongation of work, certain uncertified work and recoveries, according to the filing.
The tribunal awarded the JV ₹212.54 crore plus GST, ₹0.87 crore as costs and post-award interest, against its claim of ₹322.22 crore plus interest, GST and costs.
The tribunal also entirely rejected DMRC’s counterclaim of ₹22.19 crore plus interest, GST and costs.
The company said the actual financial impact of the award, if any, can be determined only upon receipt of the awarded amount.
