Just a day after President Donald Trump halted the American Hormuz escort mission, multiple Iran-linked tankers reportedly continued entering strategic shipping routes, raising serious questions about the effectiveness of Washington’s blockade strategy. According to maritime analytics group Tanker Trackers, sanctioned vessels tied to Iranian trade approached restricted maritime zones while still broadcasting AIS tracking signals. One tanker identified as VINA/VALLEY, carrying IMO number 9157478, was reportedly involved in movements linked to Iranian LPG shipments. Analysts also reported the arrival of a larger empty Iranian tanker in the same operational zone, suggesting Tehran may be buying strategic time while maintaining regional shipping activity.
