NEW DELHI: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has introduced BBA and BCom programmes in the online mode. The courses for the first batch of the three-year programmes will begin on Sept 15.
The admission brochure for the BBA and BCom programmes was launched Monday at the university’s Dwarka campus. “This is the first time we are entering online education. Through online education, we want to take the university beyond borders and reach every corner of the world,” said IP University vice-chancellor Mahesh Verma.
The programmes will be offered through the university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education for Rs 15,000 per semester. They will also have multiple entry and exit options in line with National Education Policy.
The university plans to expand its online offerings with three more programmes — MCA, MA (Mass Communication) and PG Diploma in Healthcare Management.
The programmes will be delivered through a SWAYAM-enabled learning management system, with support from the university’s institutional collaboration with IIT Madras. The academic content has been developed with contributions from faculty members of the university and its affiliated colleges, and will include recorded lectures, e-content, weekly live interactive sessions, digital learning resources, mentoring and learner support.
