Patna: A 16-year-old intermediate student, Sujit Kumar, son of Ramanuj Kumar Rai from Akilpur in Saran district, on Wednesday went missing from his rented accommodation in Yaduvanshi Nagar under Danapur area of Patna. Sujit, who was staying at Suresh Prasad’s house behind the court, was last seen in his room at around 1.30pm on Tuesday. He told his cousins he would return home by evening after filling an online form, but became unreachable thereafter. His family found his cellphone in the room, with a note inside the cover reading: “I am going far away from here because I have blood cancer and I only have a few years left. So I have to go far away.” Sujit’s father insisted the boy had no such medical condition and feared foul play. A missing person report was filed at Danapur police station. SHO Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj confirmed the matter was under investigation, with police examining nearby CCTV footage to trace the student.
