Patna: Students of Notre Dame Academy, showcased their creativity and academic skills during an inter-house Social Science Exhibition organised on the theme, “Exploring the Past, Understanding the Present.” The exhibition saw participation from students of classes VI, VII and VIII, who presented a variety of innovative projects and working models.The event provided a platform for students to move beyond classroom learning and demonstrate their understanding of social science through interactive exhibits, covering diverse subjects, including history, political science, geography, economics, culture, environmental conservation and sustainable development.Students confidently explained their models and research to judges, teachers and visitors. Myra Patrick emerged as the winner in the sub-junior category during the competition held at St Alphonsa School, Jhingajhal, Deoghar, Jharkhand.Myra impressed the judges with her confident delivery, strong oratory skills and outstanding presentation, securing the top position among participants from across the region. She expressed confidence that the achievement would inspire other students to pursue excellence in academics and co-curricular activities.Awareness programme held at AN CollegeAn awareness programme on the theme “Drug-Free Youth, Developed India” was organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of AN College, following the Prime Minister’s address on the campaign. Conducted through a virtual platform, the programme aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encourage them to contribute towards building a healthy and responsible society.College principal Prof Ratna Amrit highlighted the physical, mental, social and family-related consequences of drug addiction, stressing that a developed India can only be achieved with healthy and addiction-free youth. She also announced plans to establish a counselling cell on the campus to provide guidance on mental health, addiction-related concerns and other personal challenges. Participants took a pledge to remain drug-free and spread awareness in society.The event also featured online speech, slogan-writing and reel-making competitions, where students promoted the message of a drug-free India. NSS programme officers Shireen Masroor and Naveen Kumar urged students to become ambassadors of social change by actively supporting anti-drug awareness initiatives.IIM-Bodh Gaya launches corporate leadership conclaveThe Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya on Sunday launched Lakshya 1.0, its first Corporate Leadership Conclave, marking the beginning of the Final Placement Season 2026-27. Organised under the theme “Campus to Corporate: Igniting Vision, Shaping Leaders,” under the guidance and vision of Vinita S. Sahay, director of the institute. The initiative aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and prepare students for evolving corporate careers.The conclave brought together leading corporate executives, teachers and students for discussions on leadership, recruitment trends and the changing business landscape. Two panel discussions focused on the skills companies seek in MBA graduates and the impact of geopolitical shifts, artificial intelligence and global supply chains on careers.
