Mira Road: A Mira Road resident lost Rs 25.67 lakh to cyber fraudsters after responding to an Instagram advertisement claiming to offer stock market training.The victim clicked on the link, shared his details and was later contacted by a woman identifying herself as Aditi Verma, who asked him to download an app. Lured by promises of high investment returns, he transferred money to multiple bank accounts. He neither received the promised training nor any returns.Mira Road police registered a case of cheating under relevant provisions of the IT Act and launched an investigation.
