Hyderabad: The commissioner of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), G Srijana, has urged builders and developers to ensure strict adherence to construction norms, environmental standards, and statutory regulations for all ongoing and upcoming projects.During a meeting with CREDAI, NAREDCO, the Telangana Developers Association and builders, the commissioner instructed them to implement proper safety measures at construction sites to protect workers and members of the public.The importance of controlling dust and air pollution by adopting appropriate mitigation measures was also emphasised. The commissioner clarified that partial Occupancy Certificates (OCs) should only be applied for once construction has been completed in strict accordance with the approved plan.The issue of construction waste management was also discussed, with the instruction that debris must only be handed over to authorised agencies for proper disposal. Developers were also told to ensure that buffer zones are developed in accordance with approved plans, without any deviations.
