Bokaro: The excise department busted an alleged illegal liquor manufacturing unit operating from a house in Gayatri Nagar under Balidih police station and arrested one person during a late-night raid on Monday. Officials seized 207.06 litres of finished liquor, 120 litres of spirit and 140 litres of coloured liquor. They also recovered bottles carrying labels of popular whisky brands, along with empty bottles, stickers, caps, caramel and a bottle-punching machine. Ajay Agrawal, a resident of Katras in Dhanbad, was arrested and sent to judicial custody. Another accused, Vikash Chandra, allegedly fled during the raid. A case has been registered against both, said Vinay Kumar Singh, excise inspector.
