Chennai: IIT Madras has invited applications for its course on career guidance for students of Classes IX-XII.These introductory courses will help students of Classes IX-X decide which group to choose, and provide those of Classes XI-XII exposure to various fields to choose the right course. The courses are developed and delivered by IIT Madras faculty and other leading institutions.The centre for outreach and digital education (CODE) at IIT Madras is offering these courses in English and Hindi.Each course is an eight-week online learning, combining pre-recorded lectures, live sessions, assignments and computer-based assessments. Students who complete the prescribed requirements receive an official e-certificate from IIT Madras CODE.The deadline to apply for the Oct 2026 cohort is Sept 30.“School connect was built to give students an opportunity to explore, experience and understand different fields before making important academic choices. Our ambition now is to take this opportunity to students in 25,000 schools across the country,” said professor Andrew Thangaraj, chair, CODE, IIT Madras.He also invited parents to explore this initiative and help their children discover exciting career paths beyond traditional choices.
