Kanpur: The women’s association of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) recently hosted ‘Kala Sangam,’ a traditional folk art creation and exhibition.The event aimed to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and diverse traditional folk art forms through an exhibition and creative activities, highlighting the country’s vibrant artistic traditions.Members of the IIT Kanpur women’s association, along with their families and friends, participated by forming teams and presenting a wide range of traditional Indian art forms, including Mandala, Pichwai, Warli, Madhubani, Lippan, Aipan, Kalighat, Thangka, and Pattachitra.Speaking on the occasion, Amrita K. Bhushan, secretary of women’s association said that such programmes and exhibitions foster enthusiasm, creativity, and a sense of togetherness among participants.
