Varanasi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), BHU signed an MoU with the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (Hudco) on Thursday to collaborate on capacity building, training, and research initiatives related to urban infrastructure development.The MoU was signed by Hudco regional chief Naresh Kumar and IIT-BHU dean (Research & Development) Prof Rajesh Kumar. The collaboration was established under Hudco’s Urban Invest Window (UiWIN) initiative, which aims to strengthen the capacity of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) through structured training programmes, research collaborations, and knowledge-sharing activities in the domain of urban infrastructure and sustainable urban development. Through this partnership, IIT-BHU will contribute its academic and research expertise to support capacity building, policy research, and technical training for ULBs and municipal corporations across the country. The MoU is expected to facilitate collaborative research, training programmes, workshops, and technical advisory initiatives addressing key urban challenges.
