Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with École Centrale de Nantes during the ongoing Bharat Innovates (Global Acceleration for Indian Education Ecosystem) event being held in Nice, France.

The agreement establishes a framework to promote international academic collaboration and cultural interaction by supporting educational and professional activities among faculty members and students of both institutions.

According to the agreement, the key areas of collaboration include the exchange of faculty members, joint academic activities, and student exchange programmes. Both institutes will also pursue joint research projects to establish multi-institutional collaborations funded by private or government sponsors.

The partnership will facilitate participation in seminars, the exchange of academic materials, and the creation of special short-term academic initiatives such as summer research programmes. Additionally, the institutions will collaborate on study abroad initiatives alongside joint and dual degree programmes.

The partnership aims to strengthen global academic engagement and advance international collaboration in education and research, IIT Bhilai said. IIT Bhilai director Professor Rajiv Prakash and Linda Sérandour, International Partnership Manager, Ecole Centrale De Nantes, France, exchanged the MoU.
