Patna: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has secured accreditation from AACSB International, becoming only the sixth among the country’s 22 IIMs to earn the prestigious recognition. The accreditation places the institute among the top 6% of business schools worldwide that meet AACSB’s rigorous standards of excellence in management education.The institute has over 1,700 students enrolled in its residential programmes, including MBA, MBA in digital business and artificial intelligence, MBA in hospital and healthcare management, the five-year Integrated programme in management (IPM), PhD and executive MBA. It is also known for integrating mindfulness into its academic framework to develop ethical and socially responsible leaders.The accreditation process began with an assessment visit by AACSB South Asia head Prathap Das in Aug 2025 and culminated in the final Peer Review Team visit in March 2026.Director Vinita S Sahay termed the accreditation a landmark achievement, attributing it to the efforts of the institute’s faculty, staff, students, board of governors and quality assurance systems. She said the recognition reflects IIM Bodh Gaya’s commitment to global standards and continuous improvement.According to the institute, the accreditation is expected to enhance its international standing and create opportunities for global research collaborations, student and faculty exchanges, and dual-degree partnerships with leading universities across the world.
