Ahmedabad: Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has expanded its academic offerings in Dubai with the launch of a two-year executive MBA programme for senior professionals working in India and the Gulf region.The programme, IIMA’s third offering in Dubai, is aimed at experienced executives seeking to strengthen their strategic and leadership capabilities while continuing their careers. The institute said the course addresses the growing need for leaders equipped to navigate an AI-driven business environment and manage operations across interconnected markets.The programme will be delivered over six terms through weekend classroom sessions in Dubai. It will include a seven-day immersion at IIMA’s Ahmedabad campus, an international immersion module and a faculty-supervised executive capstone project focused on real-world business challenges.IIMA director Prof Bharat Bhasker said professionals are increasingly expected to lead with strategic depth and a global outlook, while balancing existing responsibilities. The programme, he said, seeks to bridge this gap and reflects growing economic integration between India and the Gulf.The curriculum integrates artificial intelligence, case-based learning and cross-functional decision-making. IIMA cited World Economic Forum estimates that 41% of core skills among UAE workers are expected to change by 2030.Candidates need at least six years of post-graduation work experience, including three years in managerial or leadership roles, and must submit scores from IIMA Admission Test, GMAT Focus, Executive Assessment or GRE.
