Shimla: Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla has been honoured with the SKOCH Award for its contribution to public health awareness through the ‘Har Din Sehat’ campaign.The award was presented by chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to the IGMC team. The year-long campaign focused on nutrition, healthy lifestyles, exercise, mental health, disease prevention, immunisation, and awareness against tobacco and substance abuse, benefiting thousands of people.On the occasion, the ‘Simple Guide to Healthy Living’ booklet was also launched. The guide provides practical information on healthy habits, disease prevention, regular health check-ups, and the harmful effects of chitta (heroin) and other drugs.IGMC officials highlighted the award as recognition of their commitment to community health.
