During the course of verification, members of Hindu Jagran Vedike entered railway premises

Mysuru: The Railway authorities on Monday said, based on information received regarding the movement of certain suspected persons by Train No. 22817 (Howrah-Mysuru Express) officials of the Govt Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF), Mysuru, entered the train and carried out verification of passengers, including identity checks and enquiries.According to Girish Dharmaraj Kalagonda, divisional commercial manager and public relations officer, Mysuru division, during the course of the verification, members of Hindu Jagran Vedike entered the railway premises and intervened in the ongoing proceedings.While 34 individuals identified by the activists as suspected Bangladeshi nationals were brought to the GRP police station, Mysuru, for verification. The GRP conducted detailed verification of the identities of the passengers. On completion of the verification process, no adverse material was found against them, and all 34 individuals were released, he stated.Further, GRP, Mysuru, which is the competent law enforcement agency, has registered a case against six persons in connection with the incident.It is clarified that the FIR in this matter has been registered by the GRP. The RPF, functioning under the ministry of railways, has not registered any case against the persons concerned in connection with this incident. RPF is extending all necessary assistance to the GRP in the investigation, he stated.
