Sharing his experience on his June 4 Instagram post, he said, “I stopped eating completely for five days and documented the entire experience.” From headaches and low energy in the initial days to eventually entering ketosis, the journey was anything but easy.

Day 1: Preparation and a full blood test

Before starting the fast, he recorded his weight and got a full blood panel done to track internal changes later. “I waited at 82.5 kilos, got a full blood test done this time,” he shared. He also mentioned doing a light workout and getting unusually long sleep on the first day.

Day 2: Headaches and fatigue begin

By the second day, the effects of fasting started to kick in. “On day 2, the headaches began,” he said, adding that he still pushed himself to walk and stay active. However, lightheadedness followed, which he managed using electrolytes and hydration.

Days 3 and 4: Hunger fades, energy shifts

Interestingly, the third and fourth days felt easier compared to the initial phase. “I worked out, got a massage, and the hunger vanished as my body was burning fat for energy,” he said.

However, he admitted the real struggle wasn’t physical hunger but environmental triggers. “The hardest part was all the yummy food smells at home and at grandma’s. Torture,” he added.

To cope, he stayed busy with workouts, errands, and distractions to avoid thinking about food constantly.

Day 5: Breaking the fast

By the fifth day, he successfully completed the fast and broke it with a light meal. “So I made it to day five and broke my fast with this golden broth. So good,” he said.

The surprising outcome

After five days without food, he reported a weight loss of nearly 5 kg. “My weight after 5 days of 0 food, I was 5 kilos down, but that wasn’t the surprise,” he said, hinting that his post-fast blood test results revealed unexpected changes.
