HYDERABAD: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) was the target of a bomb threat email from an unidentified source, claiming to execute a blast in the airport, on Sunday.After receiving the threat, the police conducted an anti-sabotage exercise and declared the threat a hoax. The officials said that the accused sent an email to RGIA authorities, informing them about the blast. Immediately, the airport officials alerted Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) sleuths and Cyberabad police, who swung into action and conducted an anti-sabotage drill. During the intensified checking, there were no restrictions imposed by the police on passengers or visitors. However, checking was intensified while allowing the passengers into the airport. The officials of different internal wings of the airport held a meeting in the backdrop of the email as part of protocol. tnn
