Shimla: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday announced the introduction of CBSE curriculum in a total of 140 schools across the state, assuring that all required teachers would be appointed within two months.Sukhu said a separate dress code would be implemented for students in these schools. The education department would also fill 400 lecturer and 400 assistant lecturer posts, he said. The CM also announced an allocation of Rs 20 crore for the Science College in Hamirpur.While addressing the 29th annual prize distribution ceremony of Siddharth Govt College, Nadaun, in Hamirpur district, Sukhu announced new academic courses in physics, biology, and botany, and upcoming MCA and MBA programmes at the college, along with Rs 5 lakh support for cultural activities.Sukhu highlighted the Dr YS Parmar Vidyarthi Rin Yojna, allowing student loans up to Rs 20 lakh at 1% interest for higher education. He also laid the foundation stone for a multipurpose hall at Nadaun govt College, costing Rs 17.22 crore.Describing Nadaun as his birthplace and karmabhoomi, Sukhu reaffirmed his commitment to its development, envisioning it as a major sports and tourism hub in the coming years.
