Jaipur: Speaker Vasudev Devnani Friday expressed his disapproval of MLAs who failed to attend the House proceedings when the questions submitted by them were taken up for discussion. This warning was issued after Nadbai MLA Jagat Singh was absent when his question regarding the Chambal–Dholpur–Bharatpur Circle Drinking Water Project was called. Devnani emphasised the importance of attendance for those who submit questions to ensure proper discussion and accountability in the Assembly.Expressing displeasure during Question Hour, Devnani said members who submit questions should ensure their presence in the Assembly when the matter is listed. The Speaker remarked that absenteeism by members who raise issues defeats the purpose of the question process.
