Jaipur: A man was killed and two were critically injured in a hit-and-run case after a rashly driven car hit a motorbike and fled the scene near Kharbas Circle, near Patrakar Colony in Jaipur Friday.“It was a nasty collision in which 1 person, identified as Ramkaran Gurjar (42), died on the spot after sustaining grave injuries to his head and other parts of the body. His brother, identified as Ramesh Gurjar (40), and another person, identified as Bhim Mali (35), sustained grave injuries,” said a senior police officer.

According to Station House Officer Madan Lal Kadwasara, the accident occurred near ISKCON Temple, Kharbas Circle, at around 4.30 pm. “The three friends were riding a motorcycle towards Mansarovar when a high-speed car hit them from behind. The impact of the collision was so severe that all three were thrown off the bike and fell onto the road, sustaining serious injuries,” he added. Eyewitnesses rushed to help the injured youths and immediately informed the police. Meanwhile, police launched a search operation to trace the absconding car and its driver. CCTV footage from cameras installed around the accident site is being examined to identify the vehicle involved. A case was registered against the unidentified driver, and officials said efforts are underway to arrest the accused at the earliest.
