KSHEC said the conclaves will bring together university leaders, administrators and policy experts to discuss priorities for strengthening higher education in Kerala.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Higher Education Council will organise a conclave of vice-chancellors from all state universities on Tuesday. A conclave of all syndicate members from universities across Kerala will be held at the Institute of Management in Government on Wednesday. Higher education minister Roji M John will inaugurate events.

During the technical sessions in the morning, KSHEC vice-chairman Achuthsankar S and member secretary Abida Farooqui will present the council’s ongoing activities and plans. Principal secretary (higher education) B Ashok will outline the initiatives undertaken by the department. The discussions will focus on challenges confronting the higher education sector, administrative and academic reforms, quality improvement and coordinated measures for future development.

KSHEC said the conclaves will bring together university leaders, administrators and policy experts to discuss priorities for strengthening higher education in Kerala. The meetings are expected to help improve coordination among universities, the council and the department and contribute to the preparation of a roadmap for the sector’s development. The roadmap will cover governance, academics, quality and institutional development.
