Chandigarh: UT police arrested a Maloya resident with 9.7 grams of heroin during a checking drive Thursday. The accused, Deepak Kumar of EWS Colony, allegedly tried to flee after spotting a police team near a govt school but was chased and apprehended. A case under the NDPS Act was registered. He was produced before a local court and remanded to 14 days’ judicial custody.
