Nagpur: Hemant Pande has taken over as the chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), one of the key subsidiaries of Coal India Limited.Pande was earlier the director (human resources) in the company which has its headquarters at Nagpur. He is a graduate in mining engineering from VNIT and also holds a Master of Technology degree in mining as well as a doctorate in management. The officer has also taken up advanced global techno management training at European Business School.As human resource director, Pande came up with a new portal for improved healthcare and dispensary management system. He also laid stress on better industrial relations and medical facilities for retired employees, said a press release issued by WCL.
